Inktober 2022

So what's Inktober? Well, if yu look on the official website it says: -
"Jake Parker created Inktober in 2009 as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year."
There's 2 seperate chllenges - one is to make one drawing a week for a whole year. Not so interested in that myself, since I did manage to make a drawing a day for a full three hundred and sixty five days from March 2017. Then in 2018 I did give Inktober a go for the first time. However, after completing 28 days I took a trip to Amsterdam, and although I did make sketches on those remaining days of October, they weren't according to the official prompt, and in my heart of hearts I don't count this as a completion.
2019 to 2021 I didn't try. At this distance I'm not entirely sure what my reasons were, but I wouldn't be surprised if I felt that the challenge of producing at least one sketch every day during the first school term had something to do with it. Still, with the triumphant completion of the 30x30 Direct Watercolour challenges of both 2021 and 2022 I felt confident I could complete the 2022 prompt list. Speaking of which, here it is.

Confession - Number 7's prompt was trip, and I used this drawing of Edinburgh landmarks that I made some time before. The Shame of it. At least this IS an original sketch of mine (and prints are available in my Etsy shop)

Confession - If you've been following my blog posts in 2022 you'll know that I made copies of many of the John Tenniel illustrations for Lewis Carroll's Alice books, and this was one of them.
